28/05/2014 - CyberPort & Microsoft

Entrepreneur Day was also the venue for the announcement of a collaboration between Hong Kong’s digital community Cyberport and Microsoft Venture. The two came together in a programme designed to help ICT start-ups boost their fund-raising capabilities and readiness for overseas expansion.

“What we are witnessing today in the Greater China region is unprecedented,” said Rahul Sood, General Manager and Partner of Microsoft Ventures. “We will continue to invest in the start-up ecosystem here, and we are pleased to join forces with Cyberport to help local start-ups grow and expand into international markets,” Mr Sood said.

The six-month Cyberport Accelerator programme will provide qualified Cyberport start-ups with about US$38,500 in financial support and access to mentorship, training and seed funding, including funding from Microsoft Ventures’ own Accelerator programme, which runs in six cities, including Beijing.

X'eos has several business contacts and partners in this modern ICT center located in Hong Kong. This "Accelerator Programme" will probably increase our business with some of these start'ups.

“Cyberport is offering a holistic accelerator support programme to help prepare start-ups for international markets and investors,” said Herman Lam, CEO of Cyberport.
